Cameroon is breaking the pace and ready to feed the Cameroonian public with what some stakeholders in the industry consider quality African entertainment. Onlike in the past where Cameroonian film makers made movies at their pace and even if they were made the quality is such that the first 5 minutes would rather repel the viewer, at the end of the day there is nothing to ride home about. Today the story is different with movies like Blood or Wine directed by Neba Lawrence , Pink Poison produced by Agbor Gilbert, Jungle of Heirs produced by Agbor Steve already in the Market and now Votary directed by Billy Bob Ndive Lifongo and House of Triplet produced by Itambi Delphine scheduled to take place on there same Day, Time, Town and almost theresame cast. Some critics of Cameroonian movies say it is childish and that the two parties should have concerted and compromise while others say it is actually indication of the fact that the industry is growing at a faster rate than expected. Lets come to thinks of it for how long will the compromise continue, would it not be better working out ways to live with such situations which are common place in neigbouring film giants Nigeria, Fast rising Ghana, South Africa, not to mention Hollyhood. How long will the compromise continue especially as Authur Iyok plans to release his debute movie as producer in the months ahead entitled 'Whispers' there same month The producers of 'Triangle of Tears' plan to release their block Buster 'Decoded', not to talk of Atia Valery's Movie '3' and the list continues. Well compromise was attempted but both parties had a similar response to each other; "We have gone too far and involved to many people to back down". It appears this will be the case in the Anglophone movie industry. Lets check out some facts about both Movies;
