STEVESLIL - NATURE HELPS ME CREATE MUSIC THAT PEOPLE DANCE TO
Entertainment in Cameroon gaining momentum music just like film and modeling can now boast of an all round content to blend with the international market. Stevslil has been at the forefront with the release of a new single 'Buy You a Shack' he has sealed his position as top entertainer and ther is no doubt that when it comes to his brand he cannot be equaled. African Entertainment takes the pleasure of bringing this young talented artist and entertainment promoter to you. enjoy and remember to leave your comments.
Can you give us a brief introduction of yourself?
I was born in a family of 7 . I developed early love for music singing in the school choir in secondary school and later creating an acappela group which became reputed on campus for songs like ''Pilgrims' which proliferated all over presbyterian colleges
Enrolling in University was great for me , I was member of Coresouth which represented South West at NESCAFE AFRICAN REVELATIONS 2005
Later recording an LP titled ''Play my tambourine'' which was a chart topping hit on STV and African magic
I am currently the CEO of NEXDIM Cameroon , a platform to promote and market Cameroonian entertainers As an entertainer you sure have some difficulties?
- The challenges are to convince the Cameroonian public with your music, what makes you better than P Square or better than Timaya ? you need to always strive super hard to embed credibility in the minds of the Cameroonian public. The infiltration of Naija music has been a canker worm . To eradicate it is a big challenge.
- Piracy is another plague of which i do not need to emphasis.
- To produce music, promote, market and sell is a quite challenging in a country where the industry is not yet developed . It also requires much finance. In this light , if artists can't get the financial resources , they wallow in abject desperation.
Can you describe the following persons in some few words?
Dr. Kapt. "I know him as an innovator and supertalented artist. He has thrived to add something that has been lacking in our urban music; the blend of Cameroonian pidgin , local slangs , dialect and english.
Da Breeze: "He is an upcoming artist i respect and i admire his hardwork . He is totally committed to what he does and bound to succeed. He always has new ideas to foster the industry"
Achille: I knew him sometime in 2005, and since then he has been a top notch film maker . His recent work ''Obsession'' is creating some buzz and I'm happy.
Master Chill: "He has been my friend before the creation of Chillen Muzic. When he came to Buea, he hooked up with Coresouth RECORDS where I was the CEO and we started working together. He is a fast learner and business oriented. He produced some demos for me in his home studio and later went on a bigger scale ''Chillen Muzic'' with 2LE. I did my first professional recording at Chillen Muzic. it's actually the birth place of my reputation as an entertainer. I thank God that he has carved a niche . And sky is his limit
MD Da rap monster: He is a seasoned rapper. I like his swag, he is well packaged . He has created a good identity ''I swallow spit''
Who in the industry do you love to work with? I love to work with every creative artist, unique and vigorous. Jovi, Adah, Sine, One Rocky, Dr Sley , Dr Kapt, Rough Kumbaboy, West Don, Adele , Achalle and many more are great artists.Who is your idol? I don't think I have an idol. Nature helps me create music that people dance to.
What is your relationship status? I'm not yet married.
Any final word for your fans? It's by commitment and hard work that you thrive in life. I love my fans and all those who criticize me . By criticizing, you help me do better. For other artists always appreciate and help fellow artists grow.

LOS ANGELES — James Cameron has shored up his position as king of the worldwide box office.
Cameron's 1997 blockbuster "Titanic" sailed beyond the $2 billion mark in lifetime ticket sales, thanks to a 3-D re-release of the film that was timed to the centennial of the ship's sinking.
Only one other movie has topped $2 billion, and it's also Cameron's. His 2009 sci-fi smash "Avatar" earned $2.8 billion worldwide.
The "Titanic" reissue took in about $100 million this weekend – $11.6 million domestically and a whopping $88.2 million in 69 overseas markets. That included a $58 million debut in China and put the re-release total worldwide at $190.8 million.
Added to the film's $1.84 billion haul in its original release, "Titanic" now stands at $2.03 billion worldwide.
